Component Soft is a Gold Sponsor of the Open Infrastructure Days UK 2019

We were a gold sponsor of and an exhibitor on the Open Infrastructure Days UK 2019, a 2 days event on 1-2. April 2019. The event was comprised of 2 days, a conference day and a training day. On 1. April, the conference day, Laszlo Budai our CTO was a key speaker, giving a talk about the secure communication of microservices with Istio.

In this talk Laszlo started with an introduction to service meshes and Istio, then presented how they work and showed some of Istio’s features which can enhance the security of communication.

We also organized raffle for the conference participants where the main prize was a free seat on one of our public Kubernetes trainings in London.

 

On 2. April, on the training day, our instructors Graham Jones and Laszlo Budai led 3-hour intro workshops in Kubernetes and Istio respectively.

 

On 3. April, Laszlo also gave a talk at the CloudNativeLon about Service Meshes and Istio. It generated quite some buzz. If the tweets below got you interested, you can watch the talk here.
